Gary Bergenske has been a lover of
cars all of his life. As a young boy he knew all of the cars, who made them and
what was special about them. This was back in the mid 50's and 60's. Back in
the years when the cars changed every year. New body styles were something
everyone looked forward to each year.

| Gary's Toronado in 2002 | Gary's Dad's Toronado in 1967 |
When Gary
turned 16, and began driving, it was in his fathers new 1967 Oldsmobile Toronado
that he learned in. What a beautiful car it was. When Gary found one of these
cars a couple of years ago, he had to have it. It has now been redone and
drives like it was new. It is like driving down memory lane when he drives this
one. It was in a car like this that he took to his first homecoming dance. His
buddies thought it would be a great idea to take all of the wires off of the
plugs that night and change them around. It made for an interesting night,
remembered forever.
People have kidded Gary that if it is old and has wheels, look out , 'cause he will be looking at it. His love of old cars has driven him to collect several old cars that are shown on this web site. He is constantly tring to improve them, and enjoys playing with and driving them.
He belongs to some old car clubs, his favorite being the one at Bahia Shrine. The Shriners Antique Car Club has about 40 members and over 80 cars total. This group of men love cars, and put on a car show each year. The keep alive the memories of old cars, and have a lot of fun doing it.
